After pasting content from a source like an e-
mail message or a web page, the content
often requires some text clean-up.
To help with text cleanup, WinJournal offers
a number of cleanup options via the Tools >
Clean Up menu. You can convert a series of
spaces to a single space or to a tab, remove
links, attachments or conventional e-mail
quotes, remove page breaks or styles,
and sort lines of text.
For example, when pasting the text of an e-
mail thread or Usenet post into an entry,
quoted text is often preceeded with ">"
symbols. To remove the “>” symbols:
1 Select text containing email quote
characters (greater than “>” symbols).
2 Select Format> Clean Up> Remove E-Mail
Quotes or click on the Remove Email Quotes
toolbar button (through the customize
toolbar dialog).
3 The quotes and indentation are removed.
